Lenah is a Family Nurse Practitioner and single mother whose lived experience fuels her passion for service. Recognizing the unique challenges faced by single mothers, she founded Destiny’s Light Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering women through access to essential resources, emotional support, and a strong sense of community.

Outside her professional and nonprofit work, Lenah enjoys spending time with her daughters on the tennis court, exploring new recipes in the kitchen, and getting lost in the pages of a good book. These moments remind her of the joy and strength found in everyday life.

Jocelyn Chesson is an esteemed nurse practitioner based in Minneapolis, MN. Known for her exceptional care and unwavering dedication, she serves as the co-chair at Destiny’s Light Foundation, where her passion for positively impacting her community shines through. In her free time, Jocelyn enjoys pilates, traveling, and discovering new destinations.

Alexzine Kimbi is a highly proficient information technology agilist with a wealth of experience and expertise. She is the driven and visionary owner of the Opulence Solution and Versatil LLC companies that excel in event planning and Agile Training respectively. Her leadership is evident in her selfless service as the esteemed secretary at Destiny’s Light Foundation, where she contributes to the organization’s mission with unwavering dedication and passion.

Karime is the Chief Operating Officer of Destiny’s Light Foundation, where she leads daily operations, strengthens organizational systems, and supports the growth of programs that empower single mothers and their families. With a strong commitment to service and a passion for making a difference, she plays a vital role in advancing the foundation’s mission to uplift and inspire resilience, self-sufficiency, and community connection. Outside of her work with the foundation, Karime enjoys activities that inspire her creativity, energize her, and bring balance to everyday life, including cooking and playing tennis.

Lillian serves as the Treasurer of Destiny’s Light Foundation, bringing a unique blend of expertise in finance and social work. She ensures the foundation’s resources are managed with both accuracy and compassion, always keeping the mission of supporting single mothers at the forefront.

Passionate about empowering women and families, Lillian is committed to advancing the foundation’s vision and making a lasting impact in the community. Outside of her work, she enjoys shopping and traveling.

Aissata Richards supports partnership development and community engagement efforts at Destiny’s Light Foundation. As an educator, humanitarian, and founder of Creative World Digital Art Space in Liberia, she is passionate about expanding educational opportunities and empowering underserved communities through collaboration and innovation. Her experience spans the United States, the United Kingdom, and several African countries, where she has led initiatives focused on education, digital literacy, and community development. In her spare time, Aissata enjoys traveling, exploring new cultures, and shopping.

Brenda leads Partnership Development and Grant Writing at Destiny’s Light Foundation, bringing extensive experience in building meaningful relationships and securing resources that advance the foundation’s mission. She excels at connecting organizations, businesses, and community stakeholders, while also crafting compelling grant proposals to support programs for single mothers.

Passionate about fostering collaboration and creating impact, Brenda is dedicated to developing partnerships and opportunities that truly make a difference. Outside of her work, she enjoys reading.

Jeffrey Asamoah is a dedicated financial educator committed to helping individuals and families build strong financial foundations. With expertise in credit building, budgeting, debt management, and financial planning, he empowers participants with the knowledge and tools needed to make informed financial decisions and achieve long-term financial stability. As the facilitator of Destiny’s Light Foundation’s financial literacy programs, Jeffrey leads interactive workshops that help participants understand credit, improve financial habits, increase savings, and work toward their personal and financial goals. His practical, supportive approach makes financial education accessible and actionable for individuals at all stages of their financial journey.

Sandy Naughton is a Health Educator with 47 years of experience educating and empowering youth, parents, and families. Throughout her career, she has been dedicated to helping individuals build healthy, informed, and confident lives through education, prevention, and community engagement. Sandy specializes in healthy relationships, sexual safety, and stress management. She works closely with teens and parents, providing education and practical tools that support healthy decision-making, effective communication, self-confidence, and personal well-being. Through her parent groups, Sandy helps families navigate sensitive conversations in an open, age-appropriate, and supportive manner. Known for her compassionate approach and wealth of experience, Sandy is committed to creating safe spaces where youth and families can learn, ask questions, and gain the knowledge they need to thrive. Her passion for education and family wellness continues to make a lasting impact in the communities she serves.
