In the summer of 2024, Nakeyshia was awarded a grant from Destiny’s Light Foundation to support her pursuit of vocational training and certification at the Loving Lotus CNA Training Academy in St. Paul, MN. She demonstrated remarkable commitment and determination, balancing her coursework with a busy schedule while caring for her infant. Her hard work and perseverance paid off when she completed the training and earned her Certified Nursing Assistant certification. This achievement opens new career opportunities and paves the way for a brighter future for both Nakeyshia and her family. Her journey is a powerful example of resilience and highlights education’s impact on transforming lives.

In the Winter Quarter 2025, Alona received an educational grant from Destiny’s Light Foundation to support her studies in Radiologic Technology. After losing her husband, Alona faced significant challenges as a widow. Despite these hardships, she remains committed to continuing her education to build a stable future for her children. More than financial assistance, the Foundation restored her confidence and reminded her that she was not alone.
