At Destiny’s Light Foundation, we believe education is a powerful tool for change for single mothers working to build a brighter future for themselves and their children. Our Educational Funding Program provides financial assistance to help single mothers pursue higher education, vocational training, certification programs, and skill-building courses.

By removing financial barriers to learning, we aim to empower women to achieve long-term financial stability, career advancement, and an improved quality of life for their families and communities.

Grant Details

  • Maximum Award Amount: Up to $5,000 (one-time grant).
  • Grant Cycles: Awarded twice per year.
  • Application Deadlines:
    • April 23
    • October 17
  • Purpose of Funds:
    • Tuition and program fees
    • Certification or licensing costs
    • Books and required supplies

Funding Policy

Note: Grants are not a flat $5,000 payout.

  • Awards are based solely on verified educational expenses.
  • Payments are made directly to the school, never to the recipient.
  • No remaining balance is paid out if costs are lower than the award.

We will contact your school directly to verify enrollment and request an invoice.

Eligibility

  • Be a single mother (divorced, widowed, separated, or never married).
  • Be a U.S. resident.
  • Enrolled in college, trade school, or workforce training.
  • Have clear career goals.
  • Authorize school verification.
